Heywood Sports & Leisure in Diss recently hosted an end of season ladies squash presentation to celebrate the end of the third season of Ladies Team squash in Norfolk & North Suffolk. Ladies from Diss, Beccles and Broadland played a series of friendly matches followed by presentation and buffet.

Broadland Ladies 1 gained a narrow League win over East Anglian Belles, with both teams ending the season with an identical playing record, 9 Wins and 1 loss. The Broadland Team had however, obtained more points during the season to give them the League win.
Tom Bobbins from Heywood Sports presented the League trophy to Broadland Team Captain Julie Johnson with commemorative medals to team members Hannah Jones, Jodie Dowe, Kirstie Johnson, Joy Grimes & Shelly Shearing.

The 2017/18 season is scheduled to run between October ’17 and April ’18 providing Ladies Team matches every 3-4 weeks. Anyone wishing to gain more information about ladies squash can contact Hannah Jones at Broadland Sports Club 01493 369651, and can be put in touch with their nearest Club.
