A Squash Tournament for all Levels!! Beginners, people brand new to Squash, men, women, juniors - people from all levels and welcome to play in this fun and exciting competition!
Voted Healthiest Sport 2009 and 2010 by Forbes - Squash is well known to be one of the fittest sports in the world and is fast becoming a major sport thanks to its time friendliness (most games can be played within 40 minutes), its fitness aspects (you burn more calories in 40 minutes of Squash than a 40 minute run) and no worries of the great British weather!
Each player who enters this competition will be put into a league of their rough ability for the day. They will then play a round robin or knockout format (depending on the number in their league) to determine if they win the group and get promoted or lose and get relegated. Simples!
The idea for the Grand Prix is to familiarise Norfolk Squash players with more competitions so that other competitions on a regional and National level become a lot more familiar for players who would like to progress.
The Grand Prix Series (5 single events) run over the Summer months over a course of 5 months with 1 tournament each month lasting only 1 day on a weekend - starting from April and running until August 2011.
The series will be held over 5 different zones around the county - North (TBA), East (Broadlands), South (TBA), West (TBA) and Central (TBA) to promote equal opportunities for everyone around the County.
